(no subject)

I fucked up.
I need to sell 10 prints to make some money back that's going to cost me for posting. I'm so badly business minded it's ridiculous. What was I thinking?

Anyway - some dark prints - by ME!

Buy 3 - get one free.
Low postage.

What more would your grandmother want for christmas? We ALL want a photo of a skeleton ;)

Lady Amaranth Shoot

I had the pleasure of photographing [info]frozen_amaranth
</a></div> over the summer - to be honest - after the shoot I felt that I hadn't done her justice.  I edited a couple of shots and left it.  Sometimes I need to do that - I've gone back to the shoot and have found some I'm really happy with - so I'm editing them right now (as I'll be seeing her later)... I thought I'd share some of them with you and see what you think:

Photography frenzy (picture heavy!)

I seriously think I might be getting my mojo back!

Sorry if the cuts don't work - I suck at cuts:

The Ska-talites @The Albany - on the strength of these photos and the photos I've taken at RAR! I've been offered regular work with The Albany Theatre ... HURRAH!

You can find the rest here

and finally I ventured into Adrian Pini's Studio in Brent Cross to work with some other photographers (and the gorgeous [info]quartie ) - just testing out the facilities etc.  I wasn't overly impressed with my results but hopefully I'll improve! :

Stanley - aged 12 days

I'm going back to see Stanley on Wednesday - well not just Stanley but also my best friend. She now lives in Cambridge and I miss her so much. These photos were taken when Stanley was only 12 days old - I didn't use a flash because he's obviously very sensitive to light so my trusty 50mm f1.7 came into play. He moves around SO much - I'm hoping he's a better behaved model on Wednesday. I have threatened to buy a reindeer suit that I found in a clothes shop yesterday but I think my friend's partner would kill me! ha ha.

Untitled Untitled Untitled

The middle one makes me laugh because he looks like he's giving a thumbs up! No idea how the third one came out like that!
Anyway - there's more on my Flickr (I'm about to sort out my website so I can post there again!)

Ska Authentic Vol. 2
I was asked this weekend if I'd photograph a band called the Ska-talites - the venue saw my photos of RAR! and have actually offered to PAY ME to do it! yay.  I'm really really excited.  They seem like such interesting faces to capture.  I've asked my friend Rachael if she'd like to accompany me.  She's a ska freak.
It's weird how we became friends - she's about 18 and lives in the same town that I come from.  We didn't meet there.  She used to go to school with my cousin.  I didn't meet her that way.  She stood behind me at the World/Inferno Friendship Society gig at The Underworld in Camden in July and snapped a photo of the back of my head.  She saw my photos on Facebook, realised that she went to school with my cousin and got in touch.  We met up at Amanda Palmer at Koko and we've been friends ever since.  I hope she can come - it would be awesome to have some Suffolk company on Friday :)

Amaranth Shoot

Quite a while ago - in the summer - I had a shoot with the beautiful Lady Amaranth.  I went through a brief 'wobbly' about editing the photos - she's one of the most photographed gothic models in the UK and I wanted to do her justice - I felt that I wasn't.  So I kept putting off and putting off the editing of the photos.  Despite the fact that we'd had a wonderful time together and I enjoyed the shoot so much.  Anyway - I've got my ass in gear and have started editing the shoot.  Here are a few for you - constructive critiques would be most welcome:

I did this once before

I had a livejournal specifically for my photography.  Then I closed it because I got too personal.  But now I've decided to open it again.

Those who know me know my other lj - and if you want to read about my exploits in the really real world then go there too.

This will be about my photography - so hopefully I can keep the two separate.  We shall see.

My most recent photographic exploits were at RAR! on Friday.  The photo above is of probably the most polite and well-spoken band I've EVER come across - Wall Street Riots.  I liked them so much that I bought their CD and t-shirt combo (I was a bit drunk!!!).

I can't link to the rest of the photos because my website is playing me up at the moment - I'll sort it out soon though.

So there you go ... my latest exploit.

Upcoming:
Gogol Bordello - Roundhouse (SO psyched I got a photo pass for this)

oooh and a photoshoot of me by the wonderous GothIndulgence - I'm SO psyched about this - finally someone to take nice photos of me!!!

C'est tout

I must get back in the zone very soon.
